The teams exchanged set wins throughout, as the Terriers won the first, third and fifth sets, and the Bobcats took the second and fourth sets. St. Francis (N.Y.) took the first set, 25-10, before the Bobcats rebounded to take the second, 25-13. After St. Francis won the third, 25-21, the Bobcats forced a fifth set with a 25-20 win in the fourth. St. Francis clinched the match with a 15-13 win in the fifth.
Kayla Lawler (Louisville, Ky.) had 46 assists, while Kelby Carey (Surfside, Calif.) had a team-high 18 digs. Logan Riker (Bowling Green, Ohio) also added 11 digs. Taylor Payne (Warwick, N.Y.) had a team-best four blocks. The league's leading hitter, St. Francis' Anisa Lila had 26 kills and hit .311 for the Terriers.
The Bobcats continue NEC action in Brooklyn tomorrow, when they face Long Island University. First serve from the Wellness, Recreation and Athletic Center is scheduled for 1 p.m.
