Women's Volleyball Falls To Yale, 3-0

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac University women's volleyball team lost to Yale, 3-0, as part of the Yale/Quinnipiac Tournament at Lee Amphitheater Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Bobcats drop to 1-11 on the season, while Yale improves to 5-3.
Senior
Kelby Carey (Surfside, Calif.) led the Bobcats with seven kills on the afternoon, and sophomore
Tracy Wright (Fair Lawn, N.J.) posted nine digs. Senior
Kayla Lawler (Louisville, Ky.) posted a team-high 16 assists. Quinnipiac fell victim to an exceptional .469 hitting percentage by the Bulldogs, as Yale committed only five attacking errors over the three sets.
Yale took the first set, 25-11. The Bulldogs took a 2-0 lead in the match with a 25-15 victory in the second, before closing it out with a 25-11 win in the third set.
The Bobcats return to action later this afternoon with a match at Burt Kahn Court, to close out the Yale/Quinnipiac Tournament. Quinnipiac hosts New Hampshire at 7 p.m.
