MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Sophomore Tracy Wright (Fair Lawn, N.J.) registered a game-high 16 digs on Saturday afternoon, but the Quinnipiac University women's volleyball team dropped a Northeast Conference road match to Robert Morris at the Charles L. Sewall Center. The Colonials won three straight sets (25-9, 25-20 and 25-7) en route to their 15th win of the season.

After a difficult first set, the Bobcats bounced back with a stronger showing in the second frame. The two teams went back-and-forth until the scoreboard read 10-10. Robert Morris then rallied off the next four points and gained some separation from the Bobcats. QU rallied back late in the set and eventually cut its deficit to just three points, 23-20. However, Sydney Sizemore and Erica Robb's kills for the 24th and 25th points dismissed the comeback bid. Robert Morris proceeded to take the third set and solidify the fourth and final playoff spot in the NEC.

Senior Kayla Lawler (Louisville, Ky.) composed the Bobcats' offense with 18 assists. She also added three digs and two kills to her stat line. Freshman Tierra Allen (Sumter, S.C.) paced the QU hitters with seven kills and just two errors on 18 total attempts. Freshman Brittanie Robinson (Fresno, Calif.) and sophomore Olivia Grattan (Pittsburgh, Pa.) aided Allen with four kills apiece, while senior Kelby Carey (Surfside, Calif.) chimed in with three of her own. In addition, Carey tallied five digs in the match, pushing her over the 1,000 dig plateau for her career with the Bobcats.

Hannah Veith led the Colonials with 16 kills and two solo blocks. Lindsey Monger and Erica Robb also posted double-digit kills with 11 and 10, respectively. As a team, the Colonials recorded eight blocks and 49 kills on the afternoon.

The Bobcats will wrap up the regular season tomorrow, Sunday, November 13 against the Red Flash of St. Francis (Pa.). Game time is set for 1 p.m. For all of the latest news, scores and highlights, please visit the official website of Quinnipiac athletics, www.QuinnipiacBobcats.com.
