Women's Volleyball's Emma Ogden Featured in The Times of Northwest Indiana

"REGION COLLEGIANS: Ogden's 'setting' the story at Quinnipiac," written by Brian Waddle, Times Correspondent

CROWN POINT, Ind. – Reigning MAAC Player of the Week, Quinnipiac women's volleyball freshman setter Emma Ogden was featured in her hometown newspaper, The Times of Northwest Indiana, on Sunday, Sept. 22.

In a piece written by Times Correspondent Brian Waddle, Ogden is featured for her standout play a little more than a week ago that helped her earn the first Player of the Week honor for Quinnipiac since the 2010 season.

The Crown Point native shined while in high school at Valparaiso for her first two seasons before transferring over to Crown Point High School in her junior season. She was a fixture within the state all four years of high school and broke out during her senior campaign, earning honorable mention for The Times DAC All-Conference Team, Gary Post Tribune All Area Team honorable mention and ICGSA Indiana Senior All-Star Nominee.

After just 12 matches this season for the Bobcats, Ogden has played in all 42 sets and compiled an impressive all-around stat line including 289 assists, 86 digs, 15 service aces, 11 kills (against just two errors) and 11 blocks.

Ogden and the Bobcats will next hit the court on Wednesday night as they play host to the Hartford Hawks in a non-conference tilt from Burt Kahn Court at 7:00 pm.
