Alaskan Native Allison Leigh Featured in Hometown Mat Su Valley Frontiersman

"Colony grad emerges as top blocker for D-I team," written by Mat Su Valley Frontiersman Sports Editor Jeremiah Bartz

WASILLA, Alaska – The first Alaskan native to ever play women's volleyball at Quinnipiac, freshman middle hitter Allison Leigh (Palmer, Alaska), was recently featured in an article written in her local hometown paper, the Mat Su Valley Frontiersman. The first-year standout has already made a name for herself as she stands first in the MAAC in total blocks and blocks per set average and is on-pace to break Quinnipiac's single-season blocks record.

In an article written by the sports editor Jeremiah Bartz, Leigh and women's volleyball head coach Kris Czaplinski comment on the amazing start to Leigh's career as well as the recruiting discovery and journey cross-country that led her to Quinnipiac.

Leigh and the Bobcats will be back in action tonight at 7:00 pm from Burt Kahn Court as they take on a familiar Northeast Conference foe in the Bryant University Bulldogs.
