LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - A total of six members of the Quinnipiac women's volleyball team were named to the 2013 MAAC Women's Volleyball All-Academic Team on Nov. 22, 2013. Quinnipiac's total was tied for third in the conference but on a percentage-based number, the Bobcats had the second-highest percentage of eligible players make the All-Academic Team among the 10 teams in the conference, trailing only Rider in that distinction.
To be eligible for the MAAC All-Academic Team, a student-athlete must complete two semesters at their institution and hold a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.20 on a 4.0 scale. A consistent fixture among the University's most successful programs academically, the women's volleyball team continues to show dedicated in the classroom.
Among the Bobcats' student-athletes honored were both members of the senior class in Logan Riker (Bowling Green, Ohio) and Bonnie Conklin (Plano, Texas) in addition to two juniors and sophomores. The Bobcats' percentage of 85.7 players (six-of-seven) to make the All-Academic Team was second in the MAAC.
