Women's Cross Country Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Team Honors
HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University women's cross country team was named one of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic Teams of 2009. The Bobcats posted a cumulative grade-point average of 3.40 this past season to earn the distinction. Quinnipiac was one of four teams from the Northeast Conference to make the list of 176 teams nationally, joining, Central Connecticut, Sacred Heart and Monmouth.

Women's Cross Country Finishes 13th At NCAA Northeast Regional
BOSTON - The Quinnipiac University women's cross country team finished 13th at Saturday afternoon's NCAA Northeast Regional hosted by Boston University. The Bobcats ended the meet with 439 team points on the 6K Franklin Park course. Sophomore Morgan Roche (Clifton Park, N.Y.) was Quinnipiac's top runner of the day, placing 52nd overall with a time of 23:29 in a field of 239 runners. Syracuse finished as the top team, scoring 59 points on the muddy and wet course.

Women's Cross Country Wins Record Fifth Straight NEC Championship
HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University women's cross country team won its fifth consecutive Northeast Conference Championship Saturday afternoon in Hamden. The Bobcats broke the previous record they had tied with Saint Francis (Pa.) last season of four straight conference titles. Four Quinnipiac runners finished in the top 10 as the team finished with 33 points, 38 ahead of second place Sacred Heart. Carolyn Martin was named the NEC Coach of the Year for the first time, pushing Quinnipiac's streak of consecutive seasons with the league's top coach to four.

Women's Cross Country Looks For Record-Setting Fifth Straight NEC Title
HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University women's cross country team will look to win its fifth straight Northeast Conference Championship Saturday on its home course at noon. The Bobcats will host the conference championship meet for the second time in program history. After winning the last four NEC titles, Quinnipiac will try and seek its first on the 5K Quinnipiac Cross Country Course. Defending NEC Rookie of the Year sophomore Morgan Roche (Clifton Park, N.Y.) and five-time Road Runner Sports NEC Rookie of the Week Becca White (Natick, Mass.) will lead the Bobcats in their bid to become the first program in NEC history to win five consecutive championships.

Roche And White Sweep Weekly NEC Women's Cross Country Awards
HAMDEN, Conn. - Sophomore Morgan Roche (Clifton Park, N.Y.) and freshman Becca White (Natick, Mass.) of the Quinnipiac University women's cross country team were honored by the Northeast Conference with weekly accolades for their performances at the Central Connecticut State University Mini Meet on Saturday in New Britain, Conn. Roche was named the Road Runner Sports NEC Athlete of the Week for the second time this season, while White was honored as the Road Runner Sports NEC Rookie of the Week for the fifth time. Their first- and second-place showings at CCSU helped the Bobcats to their second first-place team finish of 2009 with 32 points.

Women's Cross Country Wins CCSU Mini Meet
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University women's cross country finished first in a field of 11 teams at the Central Connecticut State University Mini Meet at Stanley Quarter Park Saturday morning. Sophomore Morgan Roche (Clifton Park, N.Y.) and freshman Becca White (Natick, Mass.) finished first and second in the scoring, respectively. The Bobcats finished the meet with 32 points, 10 ahead of second-place Brown's 42-point performance.

Becca White Honored As NEC Women's Cross Country Rookie Of The Week
HAMDEN, Conn. - For the fourth time this season, freshman runner Becca White (Natick, Mass.) of the Quinnipiac University women's cross country team was named the Road Runner Sports Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week. White was honored after finishing 19th at the New England Championships Saturday in Boston's Franklin Park with a time of 18:23.

Women's Cross Country Places Sixth Of 49 Teams At New England Championships
BOSTON - The Quinnipiac University women's cross country team finished sixth overall at the New England Championships at the Franklin Park Course in a field of 49 teams. The Bobcats were led by sophomore Morgan Roche (Clifton Park, N.Y.) with a 15th-place finish overall, helping Quinnipiac to 225 team points. Roche crossed the line in 18:21. Brown won the meet with 130 points.

Becca White Honored As NEC Women's Cross Country Rookie And Athlete Of The Week
HAMDEN, Conn. - Quinnipiac University women's cross country freshman Becca White (Natick, Mass.) was named the Road Runner Sports Northeast Conference Rookie and Athlete of the Week. It marks the third time this season that White has been honored as the Rookie of the Week, while also taking home her second Athlete of the Week accolade. She was honored after finishing 35th overall at the Paul Short Invitational's Gold Race at Lehigh University on Friday, Oct. 2.

Women's Cross Country Finishes 16th of 40 Teams At Paul Short Invitational
LEHIGH, Pa. - The Quinnipiac University women's cross country team finished 16th of 40 teams at the Paul Short Invitational. Freshman Becca White (Natick, Mass.) was the first Bobcat to finish as she crossed the line in 21:19, good for 35th overall. Quinnipiac finished with 503 total team points.

Becca White Named NEC Women's Cross Country Athlete And Rookie Of The Week
HAMDEN, Conn. - Freshman Becca White (Natick, Mass.) of the Quinnipiac University women's cross country team was named the Road Runner Sports Northeast Conference Athlete and Rookie of the Week. This marks the second time this season that White has been recognized by the NEC after being named the league's top rookie following her first race at Stony Brook on Sept. 5. White earned the weekly accolades after finishing the Quinnipiac University Invitational first overall on Saturday with a time of 17:58. Her finish helped secure the team victory for the Bobcats with 19 total points.

Women's Cross Country Wins Quinnipiac Invitational
HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University women's cross country team finished first at the 2009 Quinnipiac University Invitational Saturday afternoon. The Bobcats posted a meet-best 19 points with freshman Becca White (Natick, Mass.) finishing the race first overall. White crossed the line in 17:58, the only runner to break the 18-minute mark during the day. The Bobcats had five runners in the top 10 on the 5K Quinnipiac Cross Country Course.

Men's And Women's Cross Country To Host Quinnipiac Invitational Saturday, Sept. 19
The Quinnipiac University men's and women's cross country teams will host the annual Quinnipiac University Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 19. The women's race is set to begin at 11 a.m. on the 5K course, while the men will start at noon, running an 8K race. Ten teams accompany the Bobcats on the Quinnipiac Cross Country Course, including Yale and nine teams from the Northeast Conference. The race will begin and end at the west end of the Quinnipiac Soccer Field.

Morgan Roche Named NEC Women's Cross Country Athlete Of The Week
HAMDEN, Conn. - Quinnipiac University women's cross country sophomore Morgan Roche (Clifton Park, N.Y.) was named the Road Runner Sports Northeast Conference Athlete of the Week. Roche receives the honor for the first time in her career following a third-place showing at the Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 12. The sophomore harrier crossed the line of the 3.3-mile course in 20:31, earning the Bobcats three team points.

Women's Cross Country Ranked In First USTFCCCA Poll Of 2009
HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University women's cross country team is ranked 13th in the Northeast Region in the first U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) poll of the season. Quinnipiac sits one spot back of cross-town rival Yale after the Bobcats placed third at the Dartmouth Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 12 with 65 team points. Women's Cross Country Finishes Third At Dartmouth Invitational
HANOVER, N.H. - Quinnipiac University women's cross country sophomore Morgan Roche (Clifton Park, N.Y.) finished third overall at the Dartmouth Invitational. Roche ran the 5K course in 20:31 as the 2008 Northeast Conference Rookie of the Year led the Bobcats to a third-place showing behind Dartmouth and Boston College in her first meet of the year. Quinnipiac finished the meet with 65 team points.

Becca White Named NEC Women's Cross Country Rookie Of The Week
HAMDEN, Conn. - Women's cross country freshman runner Becca White (Natick, Mass.) was named the Road Runner Sports Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week. White ran to a sixth-place finish at the Stony Brook Invitational on Saturday with a time of 15:39. The race was the first of her collegiate career as White was the first Bobcat to finish the 4100-meter course. Long Island's Selina Munoz was named the Road Runner Sports NEC Athlete of the Week joining White with a weekly conference accolade.

2009 Quinnipiac Cross Country Summer Series
The 2009 Quinnipiac Summer Cross Country Series Run was held on Quinnipiac's beautiful Mount Carmel campus. The 2009 Male winner was Spencer Rogers who covered the 5000 meter race in 17:50. Women's Cross Country Tabbed First In NEC Preseason Coaches Poll
HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University women's cross country team was tabbed as the favorite to win its fifth straight Northeast Conference Championship in the Preseason Coaches Poll. The Bobcats received 10 of 12 possible first-place votes as they were picked first for the fifth consecutive season. Quinnipiac will serve as the host school for the 2009 NEC Championships on Oct. 31.
