The following week, sophomore Morgan Roche (Clifton Park, N.Y.) was honored as the Road Runner Sports/NEC Women's Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career after placing third at the Dartmouth Invitational. As a freshman, Roche was honored as the NEC Rookie of the Week three times before earning the 2009 Freshman of the Year award with a fourth-place finish at the conference championships.

Prior to the start of Saturday's races, the Quinnipiac University Department of Athletics and Recreation will recognize four members of the senior class running in their final Quinnipiac Invitational. Lindsey Pierret (Morristown, N.J.) and Kishori Mahulikar (Madison, Conn.) will be honored as the two seniors of the women's cross country team, while Tyler Dinnan (Juneau, Alaska) and Dan Martin (Commack, N.Y.) of the men's team will also be recognized for their time with the Bobcats. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10:40 a.m.

Following the conclusion of the men's race, an awards ceremony will take place outside the Quinnipiac Athletic Center.
