HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University men's and women's cross country teams volunteered at the Cheshire 10k road race for Mari's Miles of Smiles on Saturday, Sept. 25. The Mari Hall Family Foundation hosted its first annual road race, which has been the organization's largest fundraiser. The foundation was created to promote awareness of ASD (autism spectrum disorder) and make a difference in the lives of those living ASD.
"I am really proud of the team for taking the initiative to organize this event," said Head Coach Carolyn Martin. "The captains picked this event to do and the community seemed thrilled to have us there! We really have a great group of leaders and it was very evident on Saturday."
The Bobcats travel to Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. where they will participate in the Paul Short Invitational on Friday, Oct. 1. The men are scheduled to race at 11 a.m., while the women's race begins at noon.
