Quinnipiac Cross Country Summer Challenge Set for Saturday, August 2 on Mount Carmel Campus

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac University will host its annual Cross Country Summer Challenge on Saturday, August 2, 2014, a 5k race that is sponsored by the Woodbridge Running Company. The event welcomes participants of all ages and abilities to embark on QU's scenic course on Mount Carmel Campus. The race will begin at 9:30 a.m.

The experience takes participants through QU's picturesque campus, allowing runners to enjoy great day of fun. Prizes will be awarded for top performances as well. The top male and female participant will receive gift certificates to the Woodbridge Running Company, the first 30 participants to register will receive a FREE T-shirt!


Fans interested in attending the event are required to fill out the registration form. The form can be submitted to head coach Carolyn Martin, assistant coach Steve Belanger or handed in on the day of the event. The registration fee will be $20 per contestant. All checks are payable to Quinnipiac University. Runners under the age of 18 are required to have their parents sign a waiver before competing.

All proceeds will benefit the 2014 men's and women's cross country programs. The Bobcats open the campaign with the Stony Brook Invitational on August 30, 2014 in New York.
