Bobcats Finish Competition at 2018 ITA Regionals

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac women's tennis participated in the 2018 ITA Regionals on Thursday and Friday at Yale, as five Bobcats saw action over the course of the first two days.

Dominique Vasile dropped a tightly contested main draw event in singles play, Kamilla Nella fell in a close battle during qualifying singles action, and both Quinnipiac doubles duos (Jennifer Lu/Payton Bradley and Kamilla Nella/Layla Rodriguez) fell during Day 2 action on Friday.

  • Kamilla Nella won four games in each set, giving her four or more wins in six of the last seven sets she played in.
  • Dominique Vasile now has three or more wins in each of her last four sets. The sophomore won two doubles contests and one singles match last weekend during the Bobcats' doubleheader vs. Rider and Sacred Heart.
  • Jennifer Lu/Payton Bradley are now 1-2 in their last three doubles matches.
  • Kamilla Nella and Layla Rodriguez are 1-1 in doubles matches during the month of October.
